Bullet Journal Layouts

FUTURE LOG – BASIC

FutureLog.BondThis is an example of a basic Future Log. Notice there are no extra “bells and whistles.” This student chose to not even use lines. One suggestion I would make to improve this FL would be a clearer use of dates and times. A second suggestion would be to use pen because the pencil writing is not showing up well.

KEY

Key.Pepper_Page_1Student created her own modified Key system. Note that she also added a little extra by drawing keys.

MONTHLY LAYOUT – TRADITIONAL CALENDAR

Key.Pepper_Page_2

This is the same student who created the Key. She is using a “Dot Grid” notebook. This is her Monthly Spread. She has opted for a more traditional looking calendar style layout. Additionally, she has included a list of Important Tasks and Important Dates in the margin.

MONTHLY LAYOUT – MINIMALIST

Minimalist

This student has opted for a minimalist approach to his Bullet Journal. He is using the standard Monthly Spread associated with the BuJo system. He has also included a page for notes. One suggestion I would make to improve this is to add times to the events listed on the “calendar” portion of the layout.

MONTHLY LAYOUT – TRADITIONAL CALENDAR w/Color

MonthlySpread.Sample2

This is another example of student opting to create a more traditional monthly calendar lay out. She has also incorporated a bit of color to highlight certain dates. She does not have times listed but uses her smart phone to supplement the Bullet Journal system. She also has left room in the margin in case she wants to add notes.

DAILY SPREAD

MonthlySpread_Page_2

This is an example of how to incorporate daily class notes into your Bullet Journal system. This student incorporates the use of highlighters to add color and emphasis to the notes. Additionally, note that she uses a bit of sketchnoting in the development of her notes. This is good example of a student who combines notes, activities and migration all on the same page. Note also, that she makes full use of each of the pages.

HABIT TRACKER

TopNotchBuJo_Page_1

This student has included a monthly Habit Tracker in her system. Note also in the left hand corner that she has written in the page number so she can properly index the entry.

MONTHLY LAYOUT – 2 COLUMNS

TopNotchBuJo_Page_2

This student (same as above) has opted to modify the standard Monthly Layout by organizing it into two columns. This gives her the option and flexibility to write notes about the calendar entries.

WEEKLY LAY OUT – EVENTS, NOTES & TASKS

TopNotchBuJo_Page_3

The same student uses a multi-tiered system for her Weekly Layout. She gives herself room at the top of the columns for events and the majority of the room for tasks. She saves room in the bottom margin for notes and a reading tracker.
